GETTING STARTED
There are 5 easy steps to getting started with Smart FX
Software:
1. Download & Install.
Smart FX is dependent on a number of other Microsoft Packages.
All prerequisites will be installed automatically. These are:
- Microsoft .net framework 2.0
- Microsoft web components (owc11)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2
Please note: installation may take up to 20 minutes.
2. Start Smart FX
Find the Smart FX Free icon on your desktop or go to:
Start > All Programs > Dusty Software > Smart FX Free
3. Configure Rooms
When Smart FX starts for the first time you will be prompted
to enter some general information about your business and define
the available rooms. If you prefer, please click the
sample button to create a default room configuration
that you can use to trial the software.
4. Request Licence Number
When prompted, please request a licence number for your copy
of Smart FX. This licence number will be needed the next time
you start Smart FX. If you provide us with a web address, we
will add a link to your website.
5. Test Drive
Smart FX Free is intended to provide a simple way of
getting started with Smart FX Software and allow users to
determine whether Smart FX might be a good solution for their
business.
